When purchasing a gift card, the recipient receives an email that contains a digital gift card with a unique code that they can use at checkout to redeem its value.
The customer must have either an email address or phone number in order to be sent the gift card code by email or text message to their phone number. If the customer provides both, then the gift card will be sent by email.
